Clever, clever...

This year I am going to try to post once per week. We'll see how it goes. Maybe sometimes it'll be twice in one week if I forget or don't get to it the week prior, but my goal is to have 52 entries by the end of the year. Hmmmm, any bets on how long this one will last?

So my darling little boys have discovered how to pull out the drawers in my kitchen and pull EVERYTHING out. I was making dinner one day and was standing at the stove. I could hear them playing with the drawer and when I turned around, I found this. They are so funny! Good thing the drawer guides we used can hold up to 100 pounds.

Out with the old, in with the new...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! How is it that it is now 2010? That is officially the first time I have typed or written the new year! Time has flown and we are amazed and the many things that we have been able to enjoy this past year. First and foremost, our little ones, have been the best thing ever. Could they be any better, cuter, funner? I feel so blessed to have such wonderful children. Heck, I feel blessed that I even HAVE children! They are seriously the best. I know I say that all the time, but come on, have you met them? Have you seen them? They're adorable inside and out. Especially right now with them fast asleep. I thought I'd share a couple pictures from our holiday. The first one is from Christmas Eve. We hosted Christmas eve for my family. It was lovely. Dinner was great, company was great, and we all had fun. My parents brought up these two little chairs and my boys thought they were so big sitting in them. Charlie just sat there forever. Dylan didn't last as long but he did sit for awhile. I know the picture is a little fuzzy, but I thought it was cute. The other one is from Christmas morning. Santa brought our boys a present. That's right folks, a present. We figured with all their extended family they would be spoiled enough that we didn't need to go quite all out this year since they don't really get it anyway. They LOVE their present, though, and that warms my heart. It's fun to see them sit down and play together with it.

Are you kidding me?

I tried to make jello salad today. I was too impatient with it setting up in the fridge and decided to move it to the freezer. When I tried to shut the door I realized that I need to clear out more in the back so it would shut all the way. I opened the door and the the 9x11 pan of strawberry jello fell out...down the freezer door, in the compartments in the door, on the bottom of the freezer, underneath the freezer, in the air vent, and down the front of me. Awesome. Jello salad anyone? It is now in a 6x8 pan...in the fridge. Sometimes I wonder why I even try. For two split seconds I thought about grabbing my camara to capture the beauty but then realized I didn't want to remember the mess.

Fry Sauce

So I have been anti-blog lately. I have had NO desire to post so, therefore, I haven't. The other night I had shut myself in the office for 5 minutes to check my emails. I left the boys in the living room to run a-muck. Let me tell you, they did just that. When I came back I found D with fry sauce rosy cheeks. Earlier that day I had some fry sauce. It was from a restaurant so it was in a small plastic tub with a lid. Apparently I had left it too close to the edge of the table and old eagle eye found it. He had smeared it all over his face, all over the tile in the kitchen, all over the leg of the table, and surprisingly down the hall and all over the mirror just outside the office door. I'm sure there is a nice coat on the carpet, too, but luckily for us, our carpet upstairs is soooo stained anyway, you can't tell. Oh I can't wait to tear it up and have hardwood floors. Maybe in the next 100 years we'll get to that. We're all good around here. Nothing much going on but just the normal holiday stuff. We've shut ourselves in since it is freezing cold out and we've been fighting a few colds around here. We're almost 100% ready for Christmas. Nice to be almost done. Happy Holidays everyone!!

Happy Belated Halloween!!!

It takes me a few days to get my crap together.
Here's my stinky skunk. Here's my cowardly lion. Fitting, right?!? We spent our Halloween at Grandma's (who also happened to make these darling costumes) while mommy & daddy went to the U game. Priorities....

Happy Halloween!!!

Two seconds left alone...

I just went to find the boys after leaving them alone for a minute. I found this. No, that is not residue from eating Oreo cookies. Yep, it's true, we cannot stay out of the fireplace to save our lives! Is there any major harm in eating ashes? Are my boys going to die from the black lung?? All I could say to them is, "Seriously? Seriously you thought that was a good idea?" Think they knew what I was saying? What turds.

8 Years!!!

Remember when...

Look how young we were!! It is absolutely incredible how time flies. I cannot believe that it is our 8 year anniversary today. What a wonderful, perfect, and memorable day it was. It was one of the greatest days of my life. I am so lucky to have such an amazing husband. He is everything I have ever dreamed of and I love him more today than on our wedding day. Lets take a trip down memory lane.
