It's Potty-Time!

Last Thursday we made the plunge. I decided that now was as good a time as any to finally attempt potty training again with the twins. I've said it before and I'll say it again...all of you that just have one baby have it sooooo easy! Ha! It was a long couple days but it's over with. I think we're getting it down and have had just a few accidents. Dylan picked up on it right from the get-go and Charlie it took a little while to get the hang of it but by the afternoon we were on to something. I must have said "You're awesome" or something to that effect when C went pee in the potty cause now everytime they go, they say "my awesome" or "mine awesome". Even if we're playing or whatever, the boys will say "go awesome" and I know it's time to go sit on the potty. Hilarious. I have the best boys. I'm so proud of them. I hate that I have to remind them 100x a day to let me know when they have to go but I know they'll have it licked in no time and my little boys will no longer be just that...little. I tried to take a picture of them one day during potty training, just for memory sake and this is the best I could do. They both wouldn't look at me at the same time.

Big, big, big...

My little man is not so little. He is on the fast track to being big. Proof positive a few weeks ago he decided to climb up on things. He started here...and moved on to here...and here...so, so big. It breaks my heart. I will miss him being my baby. He wants to be like his brothers and I know in two seconds he will be.

dear Mother all flowers remind me of you...

Have you been enjoying the beautiful weather as much as I have? I was able to lay in my grass the other day and this was the view above me. I am afraid this year I will be bombarded with apples. And this year, I will can my applesauce right and not have it go bad.

While I was laying in the grass. This nonsense was going on next to me. Is it not the very best? Love, love, love when my boys play together. They are getting so big and it is so fun to watch them interact with each other and help each other.

And we were blessed to celebrate Mother's Day last week. We were scrambling to get to church and failed to get a picture so this week we stopped for 2 seconds and took a pic. What handsome gentlemen I am surrounded with.
There is nothing more I'd like to be doing then raising these 3 boys. They are my world and I continually am in awe that I was chosen to be their mommy. Sometimes times it is rough, but overall, things are good. We have so much gratitude in our hearts that it sometimes feels like it will burst out of my chest. B.L.E.S.S.E.D. Can't say it enough.

Brandt's beautiful work

Look at me on a roll with posting! I wanted to post some of the pictures from Brandt's side-work lately. He's had few big jobs and I know how talented he is and want to record it. His woodwork is beautiful and everything has turned out so great. He truly has a talent for carpentry and cabinetry. I'm so proud of him.

This is a basement he remodeled during the winter. What an improvement of the existing room.

His dad built a new home and Brandt was able to build a mantle, entertainment center, and a couple vanities for the home. The pics don't do it justice.

What a guy - I'm so lucky to call him mine!

Goings on around here...

We have been enjoying the nicer weather around here. I love that if feels like spring and stopped snowing/raining for 2 seconds. I love that I can let the boys out into the backyard to run around for awhile. I came outside the other day to find this little treasure. A few weekends ago the hubby and I ran away for a quick getaway sans kiddos. It was lovely. We napped, and slept, and ate, and people watched, and got a nice sunburn, and enjoyed just having it be the two of us. It is hard work to get away, but it is so refreshing and important to spend time together. I love him with all my being. He is truly my best friend. This was B's breakfast one morning. Are you kidding me? And yes, he did eat it. The lady next to us ordered this little gem. The picture was taken after she'd been eating it for like 15 minutes. It is a breakfast pot pie. Right before we left O had this fun little surprise (look closely) and when we got back it got a buddy.

Oh how they've grown

I've been working on importing all my discs of pictures onto my laptop to then put them on my external hard drive. Oh how the memories flood back. I cannot believe what a spitting image my little Oliver is of Charlie. I cannot believe I had TWO babies at once. How in the heck did I do that? Such fun times and such fun memories. I tear up just thinking about the past. It is heartbreaking to me that my little guys are not babies and will never be babies again. They are seriously the best. My heart just explodes with emotion when I think about my love for them. I am so lucky. In these few pictures I'm posting the twins are about Oliver's age currently. It was so fun. Crazy, but fun.
